Do you offer a warranty?
Yes – we offer a 10yr workmanship warranty on all new builds. Some materials used in the construction of Makespace dwellings come with extended manufacture warranties too which we are happy to discuss.
Do I need a Building Consent?
Makespace dwellings come with CCC (Code of Compliance), meaning construction of your dwelling complies with local council building consent requirements New Zealand wide.
However, you do need to obtain building consent for the property in which the new dwelling will be located. Makespace can manage this process from start to finish preparing and submitting all required documentation and managing the process with your local council through to completion.

Do I need Resource Consent?
Resource consents relate to the use of resources and relevant effects on the surrounding environment. Resource consent does NOT relate to how the building/structure is constructed.
Makespace can work with local planners on your behalf to determine if and when Resource Consents are required for your project.

What is CCC?
A Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) is a formal statement issued under section 95 of the Building Act 2004, that would work carried out under a building consent complies with that building consent.

Nationwide delivery?
From Cape Reinga to Bluff we can assess and quote safe transportation and installation of your Makespace dwelling.
Site preparation?
When suitable we use engineered, non-invasive footing systems such as which requires minimal site preparation. Where excavation or other work is required Makespace can quote and manage this process on your behalf.
Onsite plumbing and electrical connection?
Makespace dwellings come ‘Ready to Connect’ with a Certificate of compliance for both plumbing and electrical works.
Onsite connections need to be completed by a licensed practitioner, like other onsite works, Makespace can quote to manage this task at the clients request.
Do you have off grid solutions?
From solar power hubs through to self-sufficient septic systems we can work through tailored solutions to best fit you and your space.
Can I customise my space?
Makespace has standardised some aspects of our dwellings to ensure efficient material recovery and build timeframes, customisation is offered throughout several aspects of your Makespace build from exterior cladding & decking through to bathroom and kitchen modules.
